A great evening in Las Vegas at the Clarion Convention Center Hotel & Casino. Sonny Boy Smith drove in from Twin Falls, Idaho to join Bruce Robinson for an evening of Bruce's original music. Gus Hawkins, clearly, was named BEST FAN of the NIGHT. After the show, Gus treated Sonny and Bruce to an evening of jazz at a local "locals" jazz club far removed from the strip. Outstanding!

THE NEW DOUBLE CD SHIPS IN 2 DAYS! If you haven't ordered yet, be sure to go to the MUSIC OR STORE tabs on the website to secure your order. A new poster is also available! Be sure to check out the update website: new photos, all the lyrics with chords, updated bio and bios for the incredible band on the CD, CD artwork and song samples for all the new songs.

Some fun gigs recently in Idaho at Mimi's in Buhl for the 3rd Monday Wine Tasting events on Sept 29 and again last night. The new CD is shipping in two days. Quite a few pre-orders for my new double cd last night at Mimi's as the music is being really well received. Sonny Boy Smith on harmonica and Richard on bass, again helped make the night a special one for everybody. We even played a few of the brand new songs that will be on the NEXT album. Richard and Sonny had never heard the songs..........and we still wowed the audience.

Upcoming schedule can always be found on the website CALENDER tab. We added a fun gig this coming Saturday at TRIBES in Twin Falls, who is hosting A GATHERING OF ARTISTS, 32 artists showcasing their art from 2 to 7pm. A large crowd is expected all day and into the evening! Hope you can make it.

Back to San Diego on Sunday with upcoming gigs Oct 28th at Le Papagayo 7-10pm and Nov 10 at Jose's in La Jolla from 9:30pm til close. Aristotle Georgio, the amazing harmonica player who played on my cd will join me along with drummer, Larry Willson. Sonny Boy Smith will join me on December 1st in Las Vegas at the Clarion Casino.

Studio Update

Completed day 10 in studio yesterday. I have laid down the foundation for 33 tracks (20 songs completely re-recorded from the 1st cd plus 13 new songs I have written this year) for rhythm, vocals and drums. The new CD(s) will be fully and professionally produced this go around.

Taking a break until next Thursday as my granddaughter, Kayla, flies in today for a week-long visit. I will go in studio next Thursday as the bass player, Rick Nash, will lay down bass lines.

Rick Nash has been playing bass professionally for almost 40 years. He has played and recorded with many different musicians, playing blues, jazz, rock, R&B, funk, country, and much more. Rick has shared the stage with many well-known artists, such as: Chaka Khan, Art Neville, Albert Lee, Chris Isaak, Jimmy Vaughan, Sir Harry Bowens, Eddie Harris, Walter Trout, and Jimmy Forrest (Night Train). He has opened for: Crosby Stills and Nash, Edgar Winter, The Doobie Brothers, Bad Co., UB40, Southside Johnny and the Ashbury Jukes, Lee Riitenour, and, Michael Brecker.

The following week, we will be back at it hard with world class sax player, Joe Marillo (http://joemarillo.com/ ), coming in for 8 tracks and keyboards pro, John Cain for a number of songs. Joe Marillo and John Cain are consummate professionals and have played both nationally and world wide with some of the all time best musical acts . Also participating on 5 tracks will be Aristotle, a recognized harmonica wizard who spends much of his time in New Orleans. The engineer, Richard Livoni, is an accomplished guitar player and will lay down leads on many tracks. I have the rhythm guitar and ukulele strumming and picking tracks done, along with vocals. Top notch keyboard and harmonica players also in line.

Gig a week from tonight at Le Papagayo in Leucadia………..lots of La Jolla HS alumni in town for that as our 40th reunion is the following evening at Birch Aquarium.

Rehearsal this morning in Oceanside.
